Each year the Liberty School District Foundation provides schools, teachers and student groups multiple opportunities to apply for grant funds that support innovative projects or classroom/student needs not funded in the school budget.  

Last year the Foundation awarded over $22,000 through the programs listed below. 


Learning enrichment grants

LPS Staff may request up to $500 to fund projects that support one of the following learning areas:

Literacy | Fine Arts | STEM | Character Education 

College & Career | Real-World Experience | Special Education


Excellence in education grants

On an annual basis, LPS staff may request up to $10,000 to fund large-scale projects that will impact multiple classrooms, grades, or schools.

New elementary teacher grants

The Liberty School District Foundation offers up to $1,000 in classroom materials to help a first-year, new elementary teacher set up their first classroom!

Secondary Student council grants

The Liberty School District Foundation awards up to $1,000 in grant funds for secondary Student Council groups in Liberty Public Schools!  Grant funds are meant to support LPS Student Councils at the secondary level carry out student-ed projects identified by student council groups.
